Mohammed Ben Sulayem re-elected as President of the FIA
During today’s FIA General Assembly in Tashkent, Mohammed Ben Sulayem was re-elected as President of the International Automobile Federation, beginning his second four-year term in office.
The federation’s press service issued an official statement noting that over the past four years the FIA has undergone significant changes, becoming more efficient and achieving greater financial stability.
It was highlighted that while the organization recorded a loss of €24 million in 2021, it ended the last fiscal year with an operating profit of €4.7 million — the best result in nearly a decade.
Today at the FIA Annual General Assemblies, the FIA announced a 2025 operating result forecast of €4.4m, showing continued momentum and sustained financial improvement. This renewed stability has enabled increased long-term investment in Member Clubs and strategic programmes worldwide.
Mohammed Ben Sulayem: “Thank you to all our FIA Members for voting in remarkable numbers and placing your trust in me once again. We have overcome many obstacles but here today, together, we are stronger than ever.
It is truly an honour to be FIA President, and I am committed to continuing to deliver for the FIA, for motorsport, for mobility, and for our Member Clubs in every region around the world”.
The 64-year-old Sulayem, a former rally driver, was first elected FIA President in December 2021, succeeding Jean Todt.
This time, he stood unopposed in the elections and secured another four-year mandate.
